Bricks you build with, and a track you race on the table

Toy, brick and plastic are the tags, so the collection is Brick Kit and Toy Car Kit and nothing else. Brick Kit is a construction toy: high-quality and low-quality bevels, plates, slopes, corners, rounds and squares, in the sizes a studded brick uses, 1x1 up through the long slopes. The low-quality set is the same idea with less geometry, which matters if you are placing hundreds of them. Toy Car Kit is the track: narrow, wide, striped, loopings, hills, and the cars and supports filed under other names. A brick wall and a looping are both “toy”. A child can tell they are different toys, and so will a player.

The bricks want a building sandbox or a physics sandbox, where the pleasure is stacking and watching it fail. The track wants the kart racer played as a tabletop set. The racing maker page already admits racing is not only full-size cars. There is no brick-builder landing page. The genre guide lists sandboxes under survival and karts under racing. The track has its own page, track. The bricks have no category page: their names start with bevel, round, square and plate.

Do not start by placing one of every slope. A 2x4 brick, a plate and one slope is a step. The high-quality and low-quality versions of the same brick are a performance choice, not two colours, and using both in one wall makes the wall look accidentally detailed. For the track, one closed wide loop with a single looping is the whole first toy. The supports are what stop a raised curve from floating, and they are the piece people forget because the track itself is the pretty part.

From the building-sandbox template, ask Flockbay to stack a short wall of bevel bricks with one slope as a step, using only the high-quality set, and to leave the toy-car track out of the shot. Look at it in Play from a standing height. If the studs are larger than the player, you have scaled a tabletop brick up to architecture, which is a legal game and a different one from the set on the table. Say which you wanted. Kenney’s bricks and cars are CC0. The looping gets the kart template, on a table, with one car.
