Plans and usage

Building on your own AI is free: your Claude or ChatGPT plan in the app, your own agent over MCP, or your own API key. Flockbay also has three optional plans that run the AI for you.

For the game itself, see the free AI game maker.

Free on your own AI, and three optional plans

Free is $0 and needs no card. You connect your own AI: your Claude plan, Pro or Max, or your ChatGPT plan, Plus or higher, in the app; your own agent over MCP; or your own API key for OpenAI or Anthropic. What that AI costs is between you and the company that runs it.

A plan is optional. Indie is $20 a month, Pro is $60 and Ultra is $200, billed monthly, and each can be cancelled at any time. On a plan, Flockbay runs the AI for you: there is nothing to connect and no API key to paste. Every plan keeps your own AI too, free.

Either way you have the whole app: the editor, the builder, Play, the library of ready-made objects, your projects, exporting, and publishing to Steam. Every project is private, and a copy of each is kept in the cloud: 1 GB on Free, 20 GB on Indie, 100 GB on Pro and 500 GB on Ultra.

There is no team plan, no per-seat pricing and no enterprise tier. It is a desktop app.

The app shows a plan’s current price before anything is bought: account menu, Flockbay plans. You change or cancel a plan on Billing, in your account. Prices do not include applicable tax.

What each plan runs

Each plan opens a band of models chosen by what they cost to run. Indie runs fast, low-cost models. Pro runs stronger models and has 3× the usage of Indie. Ultra runs nearly every model and has 10× the usage of Indie.

The most expensive models, like GPT-5.5 Pro, are on no plan: a single request can use up a month of a plan's usage. Run them on your own key.

A plan generates pictures and sound from its usage. A 3D model is made on your own Tripo key, on every plan.

Usage is counted by the month. Billing shows how much of it is used and when it resets, as a share, never as money.

What never needs an AI

Building by hand with the builder, playing your game, exporting a build and opening the project in Godot do not use an AI at all.
