Godot plugin in Flockbay
Boujie Water Shader
The Boujie Water Shader is the ocean in Flockbay's 3D worlds.
What it is
Boujie Water Shader is an ocean for Godot 4.1 and later. It simulates Gerstner waves and builds an endless ocean at runtime, with several levels of detail for performance.
Its repository lists refraction, Fresnel reflections, Snell's window, sea and shore foam, and depth fog that fades with distance.
Who makes it
Zach Bernal (Chrisknyfe), building on work by Tom Langwaldt and others. Licence: MIT. Source: github.com/Chrisknyfe/boujie_water_shader.
What Flockbay does with it
When a 3D world gets water, Flockbay adds this addon: a surface that follows the camera, with one wave shader. It replaced an earlier water that Flockbay built itself.
You can tune it like any Godot material if you open the project in the Godot editor.
Facts about Boujie Water Shader were read from its repository on 26 September 2026.
