The voxel sandbox template starts with a small voxel island and two actions. That is the smallest version of the loop that defines the genre: dig, place, shape the world.
What to change first
Dig a hole you can stand in and place a roof. Walk away and come back. The hole and the roof should still be there. A world that regrows your edit without a rule is not a sandbox.
