Word game template

Scribblenauts (5th Cell, 2009) turns the word into an object, which is a different toy. A hint that gives the word ends the template. What the template starts with
The word game template starts with one word to guess with feedback on each letter. That is the smallest version of the loop that defines the genre: guess or build a word, get feedback, try again.
What to change first
Give feedback that eliminates letters, not feedback that praises the player. After one guess, a careful player should know something they did not know before.
