Body horror template

Scorn (Ebb Software, 2022) builds the corridor out of the same wrongness. Show the silhouette before you explain the plot. The AI horror game maker and the horror game maker are the wider fear. What makes a body horror
Body horror: fear built on bodies changing, breaking or becoming something else.

What the template starts with
The body horror template starts with one corridor and one creature whose shape is wrong. That is the smallest version of the loop that defines the genre: explore, discover what happened to the body, survive it.
What to change first
Let the player see the creature for two seconds with the lights on. If it only works in a scream and a cut to black, you have a startle, not body horror. The shape has to stay in the room.
