Musou template
One field, a crowd that dies in a single hit, and an attack wide enough to prove it. Dynasty Warriors 9 (Omega Force, 2018) is the battlefield. Persona 5 Strikers (Omega Force and P-Studio, 2020) shows the same crowd can carry a different cast. Widen the swing before you add a base to capture. There is no musou page of its own. The AI fighting game maker is the closest, and it assumes far fewer soldiers.

What the template starts with
The musou template starts with one field, a crowd of weak enemies and a wide sweeping attack. That is the smallest version of the loop that defines the genre: charge into the crowd, clear an area, capture a base.
What to change first
Send the sweep through a crowd and count how many fall who were not under the crosshair. If the answer is one, you built a hack and slash. A base to capture comes after the sweep is embarrassing.
