Who makes Flockbay
Flockbay is made by Eduardo Orellana, in Montreal. He also writes the blog.
What it is
Flockbay is a free AI game maker built on Godot, for Windows and Mac. You say what should happen, and its AI writes the GDScript and builds the scenes in a real Godot project on your own computer. You play it, judge it, and open or change the code yourself whenever you want. The game runs on the copy of the official Godot engine the app brings with it, not a fork.
It is for developers who build games with AI. Build free on your own AI: your Claude or ChatGPT plan in the app, your agent over MCP (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others), or your own API key. Flockbay's optional plans run the AI for you instead. The builder's tools sit around the Godot editor's own view, and the Game screen plays what you made.
What it is not
It is not a browser tool. It is a desktop app, and there is no browser, phone or Linux version.
It does not work offline. The AI, the art it generates and the world data all come over the network, so building needs a connection. The game you build runs on your machine without one.
The app is not open source. The engine under it, Godot, is, and your project is an ordinary Godot project that stock Godot can open. What is open and what is not.
It is not the website that used this domain before. An earlier, unrelated site called Flockbay once lived at flockbay.com. It has nothing to do with this one.
